SOFEA Sydenham Optimist Education Award for Volunteerism

The Sydenham Optimist Education Award for Volunteerism was created in 2023 to support the post-secondary education goals for local students who have shown exceptional commitment to their community through volunteering and participation. 

Students from Grey and Bruce counties that are enrolled in a qualified college or university, for the upcoming fall are eligible to apply.

The award will be applied to tuition for the coming semester. 

The award is distributed from the income earned from the Sydenham Optimist Fund for Education Award (S.O.F.E.A.) endowed fund held by Community Foundation Grey Bruce.

Requirements

Strong experience in volunteering and community participation are the eligibility criteria.
