Sharifur Rahman Memorial Scholarship

Sharifur Rahman Memorial Scholarship Fund was created in memory of local business owner, Sharifur Rahman, who died from injuries sustained in a serious assault outside his restaurant in downtown Owen Sound on August 17, 2023.

The scholarships was created to support Grey Bruce students enrolled in full-time studies at a post-secondary educational institution, with a strong preference given to applicants who either themselves, or their parents, are newcomers to Canada, as immigrants or refugees.

Applicants will be assessed based on academic record and financial need.
