Royal Canadian College of Organists' Scholarship

For musicians of any age interested in playing the organ, OR organ players who would like to refine their skills, OR anyone who would like to play an organ, but has never had the opportunity supported. We encourage everyone who is seriously considering studying the organ, playing the organ, any age, any level, are encouraged to apply. Two scholarships are being offered by the local Grey Bruce Centre of Canada's oldest association of musicians in Canada, the Royal Canadian College of Organists through the Trinity Anglican Church in Durham, ON. The Grey Bruce Centre of Canada has teachers available to instruct everyone, from children interested in following the Suzuki method to adults wanting to complete certificates and diplomas offered by the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto. Successful candidates will receive ten lesson program as an introduction to the organ or refinement of their skills.

  • Successful candidates will receive 10 organ lessons program as an introduction to the organ or refinement of their skills
  • We encourage everyone who is seriously considering studying the organ to apply
  • Candidates are encouraged to identify a possible organ teacher. This can be based on an existing organ syllabus, or may be personalized to meet the current needs of the application
  • If the applicant is in elementary school, they ask or parental encouragement to the program, by arranging transportation if needed, for lessons and practice times
