Aspiring Healthcare Leaders Bursary

This award is for one or more students who is financially disadvantaged and who requires assistance to meet their educational goals. Graduating from a qualified Grey Bruce secondary school and enrolled in a qualified college or university program in the field of healthcare. This award is provided through the Aspiring Healthcare Leaders Bursary held by Community Foundation Grey Bruce. The Award amount may vary from year to year and stated amount on this website may not be amount received.

Requirements

  • Student who is financially disadvantaged
  • Enrolled in a qualified college or university in the healthcare field (social work, nursing, medicine, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, kinesiology and other non-regulated healthcare professions)
  • Commitment to community leadership through volunteerism and/or activism at school, in their community and/or their faith, beyond the requirements of 40 hours of volunteer time, letter(s) of reference required
  • Written summary outlining applicant's career interests and resume
  • Confirmation of willingness to receive mentorship from the donor after receipt of the award at least once per year at a time/date to be mutually agreed upon between recipient and donor
