Requirements
- Candidates must be a resident of Community Living Meaford's catchment area - The Municipality of Meaford and The Town of Blue Mountains
- Currently in their graduating year of Secondary School
- Candidates must be accepted to enroll in a recognized post secondary college or university as a full time student
- Students enrolled in a Developmental Services Worker college course will be given primary consideration
- Students enrolled in a related Social Service or Social Science college or university program will be given secondary consideration
- Candidates must demonstrate academic achievement, provide evidence of being involved in their school or community and in general be considered a "well rounded" student
- A commitment to supporting people with developmental needs will be an important consideration
- Deadline for submission will be June 15
- Application must be made on school letterhead and signed by the principal or chair of the school's awards committee
- Include with letter of application:

- An outline of student's involvement within the school and in their community i.e. volunteer activities, after hour or summer jobs etc.
- A one page (500 word) essay demonstrating their personal understanding of the promotion of community inclusion for persons with disabilities
- An authourized copy of the student's transcript
- Home address and telephone number of the student
- Any other information that will help our awards committee in their decision
