Bruce Power Diverse Populations Scholarships

In 2015, Bruce Power launched a new Aboriginal Scholarship Program to assist post-secondary students as they further their studies. The Aboriginal Scholarship for post-secondary Education Beyond First Year program supports students from our local Aboriginal communities of Saugeen, Nawash, Historic Saugeen Metis and students who are members of Metis Nation of Ontario Region 7.

Applicants must have completed their first year of post-secondary education or first year of a skilled trade. From 2015 to 2019 (five years), Bruce Power will award 10 students a $2,000 scholarship. The second program is the Youth Aboriginal Scholarship Fund in support of Rt Hon. Paul Martin. In recognition of the former Prime Minister's contribution to the betterment of Aboriginal youth, Bruce Power will provide $1,000 scholarships to two Aboriginal students at each of Saugeen District Secondary (SDSS), Peninsula Shores District School (PSDS) and St. Mary's High School (SMHS) for the next three years. Teachers from each school will choose the worthy recipients on Bruce Power's behalf.
