â€“ If you are a student going into the trades, healthcare, media, literacy or physical education, Community Foundation Grey Bruce is seeking applications for scholarships, bursaries or awards. The deadline for application has been extended to June 16, 2017

Grey Bruce Homebuilders & Trades Association established a scholarship for Grey and Bruce students graduating from secondary school and moving into post-secondary education to pursue a career in the trades. A letter of recommendation is required from the student’s shop teacher to be uploaded into the online application form. The link to the application form may be found on the scholarship page here.

Other scholarships and bursaries available for Grey Bruce students include: Aspiring Healthcare Leaders Bursary, Bayshore Broadcasting Media Scholarship, Cindy Davidson Memorial Bursary for studies in literacy related studies, Colleen Lantz Memorial Bursary for physical education, Marjorie & Norman Gingrich scholarship for medical sciences and research, Lyle & Isabelle Love Skilled Trades award, and the Roberta Brignell Healthcare Bursary for either Practical Nursing or PSW programs.

A new scholarship, Dr. Goldie & Eileen Gray Memorial Scholarship, supports students graduating from Grey Highlands Secondary School to pursue post-secondary education in university or college or a career in any skilled trade through apprenticeship.

Information and links to application forms for all these scholarships or bursaries can be found here as well as at  www.payforschoolgreybruce.com which is a portal designed to help local students access funding for post-secondary education and training.  Deadline for all applications is now June 16, 2017
