YouthThe YOUTH forum was standing room only all day with wonderful presentations:
1. Roy Spiegelberg with a non-profit group called TRACKS, showed how young people
are sponsored to have their creations displayed and marketed in their storefront.

2. The next speaker was a gal who is a graduate of that program. Cathy Day now
has a store and she brought models to fashion hemp and soy based material, creative

3. For the very successful 1 00 Mile Market in Meaford, David Harper did a presentation
on you questioning your food. We learned the difference between "organic", "natural"

4. Ontario Trillium Grants for Youth presented. Nuala Doherty explained the specifics
for youth.
5. Jasmin Dalton and Cassandra Dillman from Youth Coalition did a super power
point presentation. There are 49,000 youth from ages 13 to 19 in Grey Bruce!

6. Lee Ann Shaw from Markdale presented her edible ice cream spoons made from
potato starch with 45 day bio-degradable containers. We all got samples of ice
cream to eat and Rogers TV recorded it.
7. The "0" Ambassador from Oprah's Angel Network and Toronto's "Free the Children",
Justin Lawrence, was exciting, motivating and dramatic with his pictures and experiences
in Africa. Recently in Toronto, they did "From Me to We" with 8,000 students from
Ontario at Ricoh Coliseum. Next year it is planned for 16,000 at Air Canada Centre

8. Kelsey Carriere had a memorable Power Point presentation which was delivered
with enthusiasm, creativity, tons of information to activists and a great deal
of FUN. She was interviewed by the newspaper media that were there. (The Sun Times
