Stuart Reid Annan

Executive Director

Stuart Reid has over 25 years of experience as a senior manager in the not-for-profit sector. He joined Community Foundation Grey Bruce as Executive Director in 2016 after serving for over four years at Brock University in St. Catharines as director of Rodman Hall Art Centre. He has also served as Executive Director of the Mackenzie Art Gallery in Regina, Saskatchewan, and was an Adjunct Professor at the University of Regina, from 2009 to 2012. From 2001 to 2009, he was Director/Curator of the Tom Thomson Art Gallery in Owen Sound. An active community volunteer, he is presently on the Board of the provincial service organization, Craft Ontario, and is a former president of the Ontario Association of Art Galleries. Reid is a graduate of York University in Toronto. He also completed the J. Paul Getty Trust’s Museum Leadership Institute training at the University of California at Berkeley in 2002. An award-winning writer, Reid has a long list of essays and exhibition catalogues of which he is the author. Stuart is a newly certified yoga teacher. He loves running, living in Annan, and long walks with his miniature schnauzer named Poppy.

Wendy Bachiu

Wendy has been with the Foundation in various capacities for over 10 years and remembers taking the first $1 million dollar cheque to the bank!
Wendy is responsible for all aspects of granting as well as the Foundation’s scholarships, bursaries or awards for students in Grey & Bruce.
Wendy is also an accomplished contemporary artist and, in her spare time, she renovates vintage camping trailers and occasionally gets to go camping.

Kate Baker

Kate was hired at the Foundation shortly after she graduated with a Business diploma from Georgian College in Owen Sound.
With her natural knack for numbers, Kate ensures all aspects of the Foundation’s financial requirements are carefully and properly handled.

Kate has a special interest in the Roxy Theatre as her young son is part of the Roxy Young Company.

Sonya Mount

Sonya is a Chartered Insolvency Practitioner (CIRP), Licensed Insolvency Trustee (LIT) and Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CGA). Since moving to Meaford in 1991 and starting a business with her husband based in Owen Sound, she's been providing insolvency and restructuring services to individuals and businesses and consulted on risk management and organizational change.

Sonya can often be found either at the “Y” or outdoors enjoying the many activities that make our area special.

Brenda O'Neill

Community Outreach Officer

The newest member of the staff, Brenda joined the organization in 2016. She's responsible for event facilitation, marketing, and administrative support to the Executive Director and Board. She has a diverse business background including communications coordinator with a leading plant genetics company in Southwestern Ontario, marketing and sales, fundraising and event management with a national non-profit as well as a private ski club.

Brenda enjoys home reno projects and is often working on a DIY project. As well she's a volunteer at Georgian Riding Association for Challenged Equestrians (GRACE), assisting riders and working with the horses.
